Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Our disability support services put you first. That’s why we provide care and support services 24/7 Supported Independent Living (also known as SIL). From assistance with personal care to helping you get out into the community, our highly-trained support staff provide a support you can depend on.

Our support model is based on doing with, not for. This means we encourage our clients to grow and learn new skills in a safe and supported environment. 

At Lighthouse Disability, our Supported Independent Living services are tailored to assist individuals achieve their goals. We offer family-style homes tailored to specific needs, with caring and well-trained support workers available 24/7.

Housing Vacancies

We offer a range of SIL vacancies in the northern and north-eastern of Adelaide. You will be supported in a family-style home by skilled support workers and matched with the right housemates. No matter what your unique and specific requirements are, we’ll take the time to understand them and provide you a house that feels like home. Come home to independence and SIL you can depend on.

NDIS Plan Management

Typically, Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) are funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). All NDIS participants are responsible for managing their plan, which includes budgeting, paying NDIS provider invoices promptly, and ensuring they have enough funding.

Needless to say, navigating the NDIS can be difficult, and managing your plan can be even harder. That’s why many people living with disabilities prefer an NDIS Plan Manager to take care of those things. 

Lighthouse Disability offers NDIS plan management services that take away the burden of financial management and paying invoices. After all, we’d much rather you focus on doing all the things you love rather than stressing about budgets and invoices.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is another NDIS-funded service that’s more about physical accommodation rather than daily support needs. We understand that many of our clients require specialist housing that meet their needs. Whether it be wheelchair access, housing design, wider doorways or the installation of assistive technology, we cater to each client’s unique requirements.

It’s important to remember that SDA housing doesn’t need to be clinical or unwelcoming. Lighthouse Disability offers family-style housing, modified to meet the needs of our clients.
